In my latest podcast, I speak with filmmaker and musician, Chip Miller.  Miller has produced 195 MTV/VH-1/BET & CMT music videos, national commercials, award-winning documentaries, a Disney TV weekly kids series, PBS TV Pledge Specials, an HBO concert, and several indie feature films. Previous to DCAM/Winmill, Miller was an Art Director, a film Producer, Editor, Music Supervisor, Screenwriter, and Director, on dozens of movies, many television programs and made for tv movies.

In this podcast, Chip and I discuss:
-Chip's latest recording project, Old Sand Mill, featuring Brian Wilson, Paul Simon, The Punch Bros and more.
-How The Music Business Has Changed Over The Last Several Decades
-Chip's career making music videos for artists like The Cars, The Rolling Stones, Linkin Park and more.
-Balancing art and commerce as a modern day musician.
-How to get your music in films and what supervisors look for.
-And much more

Nicely don, Aaron. Been so busy, I am just now seeing your site and hearing our chat. Thanks for the professionalism. Just realized how long ago our chat was - two indie movies later, 14 music videos later, a half dozen commercials later, and three PBS concert specials later (two are still in broadcast rotation), and a move to a new, larger facility for our video production and video and sound post-production company, Desert C.A.M. Studios in Indian wells and Burbank, CA. Our Old Sand Mill CD was test released in the UK, Germany, Ireland, and Canada. It did very well, but when they prepped for domestic release in 2017, we decided to do a new mix and add a new song to the album, as well as additional tracks from Brian Wilson and Jerry Douglas. The new album mix ramped up the quality and potential of the music and individual songs 25%. The label is now planning a mid-2019 release. Seems our album concept and title, "The World is Getting Colder" has become eerily and sadly topical given today's climate. I trust this message finds you in good health and that all is going forward successfully with your work, career, and this wonderful and informative Podcast! Let's stay in touch, my friend. And Happy 2019!

Absolutely, Aaron. Maybe we should have a mid-year re-visit and catch-up. Thanks again. And keep that podcast rockin', you're doing an excellent job. Peace, Chip
